"What the Church Forgot to Remember" is a well written and thought provoking read. This translation of the Bhagavad-Gita reveals that the teachings of the Gita are not the teachings of a particular religion, but of a purely non-sectarian spiritual science. My school library had a movable flap version of this book, which made it so much more fun to read with the little ones. This is a negative story from start to finish. I also think that leaving out any essays from the perspective of a religious leader weakens the overall effort. This was a good purchase no problems. In the end, I gave the book four stars, because I learned to read it as a book about Steele as much as or more than about President Obama. The authors’ vision of a world of meaningful consumption is idealistic, but don’t be fooled: this is a straightforward business book with an eye on the ROI.
