Love the patterns in this book. With unpredictable events through periods of hardship, deception,love and success, and the choice of paths that these women made, show in their own way the drive to survive and needs in life,through their own experiences. 'It drives one almost to despair of English Literature when one sees so extraordinary a study of English life as Butler's posthumous Way of All Flesh making so little impression. It is the 'how' of style, reminiscent of Snider's treatment of Shakespeare, Lincoln, Emerson, Homer, and now Dante, that makes this biography special. This was a great book. With its engaging hero, talking animals, arcane magic, moral issues, and unresolved plot, this first of a proposed trilogy promises more exciting forest wonders.
