This didn't kill anything for me or pull me out of the book, but rather for one character in particular it made me feel like they really ought to be in a soap opera because of how they'd jump into things (but I think we all know one person kind of like that, don't we. That in mind, it was easy to overlook the sometimes confusing setting (established government seeming to be medieval one moment, then discussing the use of bicycles, and smart phones. Omnivorous music fans who, like me, are just old enough to have missed this era and who would be delighted to be led through it by a thoughtful, passionate guide will find it valuable. " in Christ Jesus (II Corinthians 5:17 KJV). Good Movie Adaptation of the book, the kiddo loved it. So I guess you can say I bought it as a gift.
